The game's platforming can feel overly restrictive because Wukong's default jump height is very low relative to some of the level geometry.

This mod makes one focused change:

• Slightly increases Wukong's jump launch velocity

DEFAULT SETTING

Jump launch velocity multiplier:

1.10x

With unchanged gravity, this results in roughly 1.21x maximum jump height.

The goal is not to turn Wukong into a super-jump character. It is intended to make awkward ledges, beams and short platforming sections feel less frustrating while staying close to vanilla movement.

INSTALLATION

Requires UE4SS.

Install UE4SS first.

Then place:

VanillaJumpFix

inside:

BlackMythWukong
\b1
\Binaries
\Win64
\Mods

The final structure should be:

BlackMythWukong
\b1
\Binaries
\Win64
\Mods
\VanillaJumpFix
\Scripts
\main.lua

Make sure the mod is enabled in:

Mods\mods.txt

with:

VanillaJumpFix : 1

VORTEX

The download is packaged with the correct folder structure for a UE4SS Lua mod.

If Vortex does not automatically deploy it correctly, use the manual path above.

CONFIGURATION

The default multiplier is:

1.10

If you want to change it, open:

Mods\VanillaJumpFix\Scripts\main.lua

and edit:

local JUMP_VELOCITY_MULTIPLIER = 1.10

Suggested values:

1.05 = very subtle increase
1.10 = recommended default
1.15 = noticeably higher

Going much higher may allow unintended traversal or skipping level geometry.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed to be extremely narrow in scope.

This mod only changes the local player's CharacterMovement JumpZVelocity.

It does not intentionally alter:
• combat
• movement speed
• gravity
• stamina
• fall damage
• enemies
• NPCs
• save data

It should generally coexist with other mods unless another mod continuously overrides the player's jump velocity.

TESTED

Tested successfully in actual gameplay.

UNINSTALL

Delete:

Mods\VanillaJumpFix

and remove:

VanillaJumpFix : 1

from:

Mods\mods.txt

The mod does not modify save files.
