I'm delighted to announce that this mod is now completely unnecessary. Larian Studio has done a fantastic job updating the maps in the official release. Go and enjoy the game!

Introduction

I felt that the game's map and minimap looked blurry/noisy.
So I used some AI image enhancement tools to upscale the main world minimaps from 4096x4096 to 16384x16384.
The difference is quite noticeable when zooming in during gameplay.

Installation

  1. Download
  2. Copy it to the Mods folder (%AppData%\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods)
  3. Done

Uninstallation

  1. Go to the Mods folder (%AppData%\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods)
  2. Delete "Minimaps.pak"
  3. Done
