🌹 Fringilla's Toussaint Journey

Fringilla moves through the Beauclair Palace on her own schedule. If you are patient, she will show you the best scenic spots 🏰🌹. The easiest way to start the tour and find her is between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

 

New Items: Fringilla sells a self-made witcher amulet (not equippable) and five new readable books (in English)! When you talk to her (interact), she will move to a specific spot, then return to her daily routine.   Dialogue Improvements: While Fringilla does not have new voice lines, her conversations with Geralt have been adjusted.   The dialogue about Cantarella, which was originally not triggerable, can now be started without console commands. Players can directly ask Fringilla about Sasha from the High Stakes Gwent quest, even if that quest has not been completed.   Localization: Since the original scene script was cloned, localization should work — but it has not been tested.

 

📕 Installation Guide & Notes

Preventing Settings Reset (Common Issue) — Installing this mod may cause some game settings to reset and show the message "Game has been updated. All user settings have been restored to defaults." To prevent this, do the following before installation: Locate the settings file at documents\The Witcher 3\user.settings, right-click the file, and select "Properties." Check the "Read-only" checkbox and apply the changes.
File Placement — Place the contents of the "mods" folder into your Witcher 3 mod directory (modfringilla_in_toussaint). Place the contents of the "dlc" folder into your Witcher 3 DLC directory (dlc_fringilla_toussaint).
Save Files — If you uninstall the mod, all saves created after installation will no longer be usable. This is because the mod stores data in the game's save files, making them dependent on the mod. If the mod is removed, those saves cannot be loaded.
DirectX Compatibility — This mod only supports DirectX 11, not DX12. Ensure the game is running in DX11 mode before launching.   Edit: It currently appears to work fine.

🏺 Known Issues & Notes

Affects Fringilla's Original Dialogue: Since I used lines from Fringilla's original dialogue, some camera angles in the original dialogue may change when you free her from captivity. In some cases, when you approach her, the camera angle may be a bit off. This lasts only about a second, so just ignore it and enjoy the rest. Minor Clipping: Once, Fringilla briefly passed through a tree, but I kept it — she ends up standing at a great distance for screenshots. Note that if you fast-forward time (meditation), she may decide to finish her current route before proceeding to the next step. After all, a sorceress doesn't rush!
