"THE HEIST" SMUGGLER!

Pistols only — revolvers are not supported.

DESCRIPTION

Doctrine Wrist Holster adds the Concealed Draw Holster, a new standalone cyberware installed in the Hands slot.

The holster can be linked to one real pistol from V's inventory. The exact selected weapon instance is preserved, including its quality, statistics, modifications and attachments.

While linked, the pistol is concealed by the implant and removed from the normal inventory, equipment and vendor interfaces.

While Fists, Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blades or Monowire are active, press the Reload input to draw the linked pistol directly into V's hand.

On keyboard, the default input is R.

Reload was deliberately selected because this input has no normal function while Fists or these arm cyberwares are active. Doctrine Wrist Holster therefore reuses an otherwise unused input instead of requiring an additional keybind.

Once the linked pistol is active, the Reload input immediately returns to its normal function and can be used to reload the weapon.

The linked pistol does not permanently occupy one of V's three standard weapon slots. When V switches away from it, the weapon remains linked to the holster and can be drawn again whenever needed.

Doctrine Wrist Holster accepts pistols only. Revolvers are excluded and remain a separate weapon category.

/!\ PERSISTENT HIDDEN WEAPON STORAGE

Version 2.0 introduces persistent hidden storage for the linked handgun.

Once linked, the exact handgun instance is transferred out of V's normal inventory and stored persistently by the Concealed Draw Holster. The weapon is never cloned or recreated. Its exact ItemID, Tier, statistics, modifications and attachments are preserved.

Drawing the handgun transfers that same instance back to V. Concealing it again returns it to the holster's hidden storage.

IMPORTANT — THE LINKED HANDGUN REMAINS STORED IN THE HOLSTER EVEN WHEN THE CYBERWARE IS UNEQUIPPED.
IMPORTANT — UNLINK THE HANDGUN BEFORE SWAPPING OR REMOVING THE HOLSTER IF YOU WANT IT RETURNED TO V'S INVENTORY.

Re-equipping the same Concealed Draw Holster restores access to the handgun that was left linked to it.

RECENT IMPROVEMENTS AND PLAYER-REQUESTED FEATURES

Contextual interactions take priority over Doctrine inputs

When the Reload input is being used by an active contextual interaction, that interaction takes priority over the holster.

This prevents Doctrine Wrist Holster from interfering with actions such as Stealth Finishers or other contextual actions assigned to the same input.

Protection against vanilla mission disarm systems

Pistols linked to the holster are excluded from the transfers performed by the vanilla security-locker and quest disarm system.

This is designed to allow a pistol concealed inside the cyberware to remain hidden during missions in which V's visible weapons are normally confiscated.

The protection specifically targets the vanilla disarm-transfer system. Individual quest implementations using completely separate mechanics may behave differently.

Optional Cutscene Weapon Swapper compatibility

An optional compatibility bridge for Cutscene Weapon Swapper is included.

When Cutscene Weapon Swapper is installed, Doctrine Wrist Holster attempts to present the linked pistol as V's last-used weapon during scenes supported by that mod.

Cutscene Weapon Swapper remains responsible for the actual cutscene replacement. Unsupported scenes or scenes requiring a different weapon category are left unchanged.

Cutscene Weapon Swapper is optional and is not required for Doctrine Wrist Holster to function.

Extended Tier 5 progression

Tier 5+ and Tier 5++ now provide genuine progression beyond the normal Tier 5 draw-speed value.

HOW TO USE

[]Purchase and install the Concealed Draw Holster at any ripperdoc.[/]
[]Open the Cyberware menu.[/]
[]Select the Concealed Draw Holster and open its Pistol Integration panel.[/]
[]Select a compatible pistol from V's inventory.[/]
[]Equip Fists, Gorilla Arms, Mantis Blades or Monowire.[/]
[]Press the Reload input — R by default on keyboard — to draw the linked pistol.[/]

The Pistol Integration panel can be accessed from the Cyberware menu at any time.

You do not need to visit a ripperdoc to link, unlink or replace the pistol.

Only pistols of the same Tier as the installed holster, or a lower Tier, can be linked to it.

For example, a Tier 3 holster can accept Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 pistols, but cannot accept Tier 4 or Tier 5 pistols.

If the Projectile Launch System is installed, switch to Fists before pressing Reload to draw the linked pistol.

FIRST LAUNCH AND RIPPERDOC STOCKS

After installing Doctrine Wrist Holster and loading your save, wait approximately 24 in-game hours for ripperdoc inventories to refresh.

The Concealed Draw Holster may not appear immediately in existing ripperdoc stocks until this refresh has occurred.

REQUIREMENTS

The following framework mods are required:

[]RED4ext[/]
[]redscript[/]
[]TweakXL[/]
[]Codeware[/]

Make sure that all required frameworks are installed and up to date before launching the game.

Cutscene Weapon Swapper is not a requirement. The compatibility bridge remains inactive when that optional mod is not installed.

COMPATIBILITY

Doctrine Wrist Holster accepts any weapon internally identified by the game as:

gamedataItemType.Wea_Handgun

Weapons identified as revolvers are not accepted.

Modded pistols using the normal pistol item type should work automatically.

Weapons using a custom item type can be made compatible by adding the following tag to their item record:

DoctrineWristHolsterCompatible

An optional compatibility bridge is included for Cutscene Weapon Swapper.

When the external mod is installed, the bridge attempts to prioritize the pistol linked to Doctrine Wrist Holster during pistol-compatible scenes supported by Cutscene Weapon Swapper.

Doctrine Wrist Holster and Doctrine Wrist Sheath use the same Hands cyberware category and cannot be equipped simultaneously.

The standalone holster shares the same synchronized architecture as the version included in Doctrine Wrist Arsenal.
