Gunsmiths Sell What They Actually Have - A Gunslinger Improvements File Edit

Gunsmiths Sell What They Actually Have - A Gunslinger Improvements File Edit

Edits the catalog to make each of the five gunsmiths around the map only sell the guns they have visibly displayed in their shops, for extra immersion. No more materializing guns not in stock!

I DID NOT MAKE THIS FILE, I ONLY DID SIMPLE EDITING. THE REAL WORK WAS DONE BY THEM. THIS MOD WAS UPLOADED WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND PERMISSION. THANK YOU XURUTHOR!

This file edit will make each of the five gunsmiths around the map only sell the weapons that can be visibly seen inside their stores. These weapons in store can be found in display cases, locked in drawers or cupboards, etc. Below are a list of the specific guns found and sold at each gunsmith. The base version of this mod does unfortunately make some guns unavailable for purchase. However, there is an optional file that restores these guns to stores where although not visible, would make the most sense for them to be located. There is also an optional file that restores the M1899 pistol in an immersive way without using the catalog, read more in the FILES tab.

Valentine Gunsmith
- Cattleman Revolver (Found in a display case in the shopkeeper's desk.)
- Carbine Repeater (Found locked in cupboards behind shopkeeper.)
- Varmint Rifle (Found locked in cupboards behind shopkeeper.)
- Rolling Block Rifle (Not visibly found in store, but required in Valentine because Arthur buys a rolling block here during the sheep herding mission with John.)
- Double Barreled Shotgun (Found in a display case in the shopkeeper's desk.)
- Sawed Off Shotgun (While not visibly found in the store, it makes sense to me that the gunsmith could easily saw off one of the full size Double Barrels, because his shop is also a blacksmith/workshop.)

Rhodes Gunsmith
- Cattleman Revolver (Found locked in a cupboard on the wall by the fireplace.)
- Schofield Revolver (Found locked in a cupboard on the wall by the fireplace.)
- Volcanic Pistol (Found locked in a cupboard on the wall by the fireplace.)
- Rolling Block Rifle (Found locked in a cupboard in the back corner behind the shopkeeper.)
- Double Barreled Shotgun (Found locked in a cupboard in the back corner behind the shopkeeper.)
- Sawed Off Shotgun (Again, while not visibly found in the store, it makes sense to me that the gunsmith could easily saw off one of the full size Double Barrels, because his shop is also a blacksmith/workshop.)

Saint Denis Gunsmith
- Cattleman Revolver (Found locked in cupboards behind the shopkeeper.)
- Double Action Revolver (Found in a display case on the desk to the left of the shopkeeper. It has the colors of a Cattleman, but the model of a Double Action.)
- Semi Automatic Pistol (Found in the same display case as the Double Action, and also found locked in a cupboard by the window.)
- Volcanic Pistol (Found locked in cupboards behind the shopkeeper.)
- Carbine Repeater (Found locked in a cupboard by the security door in the back.)
- Lancaster Repeater (Found in the same display case as the Double Action, and also found locked in cupboards behind the shopkeeper.)
- Carcano Rifle (Found locked in cupboards behind the shopkeeper.)
- Pump Action Shotgun (Found in displays in the front windows, and also found in the same display case as the Double Action.)

Annesburg Gunsmith
- Cattleman Revolver (Found locked in a cupboard behind the shopkeeper.)
- Schofield Revolver (Found locked in a cupboard behind the shopkeeper.)
- Semi Automatic Pistol (Found locked in a cupboard behind the shopkeeper.)
- Volcanic Pistol (Found locked in a cupboard behind the shopkeeper.)
- Mauser Pistol (Found locked in a cupboard behind the shopkeeper.)
- Carbine Repeater (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)
- Lancaster Repeater (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)
- Springfield Rifle (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)
- Bolt Action Rifle (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)
- Double Barreled Shotgun (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)
- Sawed Off Shotgun (Once again, while not visibly found in the store, it makes sense to me that the gunsmith could easily saw off one of the full size Double Barrels, because his shop has tools in the back for weapon craft.)
- Pump Action Shotgun (Found locked in cupboards along the walls of the store.)

Tumbleweed Gunsmith
- Schofield Revolver (Found in a display case to the right of the shopkeeper's desk.)
- Volcanic Pistol (Found in the same display case as Schofield.)
- Lancaster Repeater (Found in a display case behind the shopkeeper.)
- Carcano Rifle (Found in a display case behind the shopkeeper.)
- Repeating Shotgun (Found in a display case behind the shopkeeper.)

All five of the gunsmiths have weapon belts, bandoliers, and holsters displayed around the stores, so I kept the upgraded weapon equipment in the catalog. Obviously all gunsmiths have ammunition and arrows displayed as well, so those are kept in the catalog as well.

This mod is not for everyone, I originally made it just for myself because I like making this game as immersive as possible. I am publishing it because I know I'm not the only one with that line of thinking. If I missed any guns or made mistakes of any kind, please drop a comment! If you encounter any bugs or issues, or if you have any ideas of how I can incorporate the missing guns in an immersive way, let me know as well! Thank you for taking the time to consider downloading.

Once again, I take no credit for my simple file editing, the real work was done by xuruthor! Go check out their mods, they make some amazing stuff! Don't forget to endorse and give kudos to them!

Installation instructions IMPORTANT
This mod REQUIRES Gunslinger Improvements to be downloaded, and therefore by extension also requires Catalog Improvements to be downloaded as well. After correctly downloading both of those, open your lml folder and place the catalog_sp file from this download into Gunslinger Improvements -> Clothing -> Wardrobe Edits. It will ask you to overwrite the file that is already there, click yes. And boom! You should be good. Drop a comment if you have any questions!
