Luminary is designed to fix that.
This isn't another over-processed "cinematic 4K" preset that turns your game into a neon nightmare. It's a carefully tuned, balanced preset designed to make images richer, deeper, and more vibrant—without ruining the game's original mood.
Luminary works during actual gameplay, not just for screenshots. Every setting has been tested in motion, in different weather conditions, and at different times of day.

Naturality above all else. No neon skies, no washed-out shadows, no artificial HDR overload.
Cinematic, not artificial. Depth, contrast, and mood—without the "filtered" effect.

💻 PERFORMANCE

Depending on your screen resolution, the impact may be low or medium.
1080p: approximately 2-5% frame rate drop.
1440p: approximately 4-7% FPS drop.
4K: approximately 6-10% frame rate drop.
More complex effects (DOF, MXAO, RTGI) are included in the preset file but are disabled by default. You can enable them manually if you want additional visual effects.

Steps
Download and install ReShade from the official website.
Run the installer and select your game.
Rdr2.exe
file.
Select the correct rendering API (usually detected automatically).
Install the shader packs: Standard effects, qUINT, and any package with Smart_Sharp.
Copy the Luminary.ini file to the main game folder.
Launch the game.
Press the Home button to open the ReShade overlay.
Select "Luminary" from the drop-down list of presets.

⚙️ RECOMMENDED IN-GAME SETTINGS

For best results, adjust the in-game settings:
Disable in-game sharpening.
Reduce or disable film grain
Reduce or disable chromatic aberration
Reduce or disable motion blur
Disable built-in vignette
This prevents conflicts with ReShade effects and keeps the image clean.

🐛 TROUBLESHOOTING

Some effects didn't load - Make sure you have all the required shader packs installed.
The preset isn't showing up - Place
Luminary.ini
Check the paths to the preset files in the game folder.
Colors are displayed incorrectly - Disable in-game color filters and HDR.
Frame rate has dropped significantly - Disable resource-intensive effects (MXAO, DOF, RTGI).

Daytime Street - Pure colors and crisp details.
